Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run in Orange

A man was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash in Orange early Saturday morning.

Officers responded to West Orangewood Avenue at the 57 Freeway overpass around 6:08 a.m., where a pedestrian was found visibly injured on the south sidewalk. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Orange City Fire Department.

No further details, including information about the suspect’s vehicle or the victim’s identity, were released.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information can contact Detective Rocha at 714-744-7342.
