See procession for fallen Thomas Fire firefighter Cory Iverson

It is a somber morning in Southern California as many gather across freeway overpasses to pay tribute to firefighter Cory Iverson, who was killed fighting the Thomas Fire in Ventura County on Thursday, Dec. 14.
The procession began in around 10 a.m., starting from the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s office, and will conclude around 1:20 p.m. in San Diego.
Here is what it looked like at various overpasses and on the freeways, as people mourned Iverson’s death.
